Jared has spent more than twenty years in the pastorate, and he now serves as Lead Pastor at Tate Springs in the DFW metroplex.

 

Along the way, he’s wandered into the classroom, teaching philosophy, theology, and apologetics as an adjunct professor at various institutions, including Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Criswell College, Malaysia Baptist Theological Seminary, and Belize Theological Seminary, which he founded alongside Tate Springs in 2025.

 

He likes to write about Tolkien's theory of sub-creation on his Substack, Leaf and Lamp, and is the Editorial Director at Explain International Apologetics Ministry. His writings have been published at places like Radical and Lifeway, and he has a forthcoming book from B&H Academic, Unqualified Apologetics, set to arrive in Spring 2027.

At home he shares life and ministry with his wife, Amanda, and their four children, who together form a small, lively fellowship of books and basketball.
