The Eternality of God

Min Olam V'ad Olam is Hebrew for, "from everlasting to everlasting," or "forever and ever."  Michael Rydelnik has written, "As a general rule, the phrase is used of matters pertaining to God alone.  [It is] the strongest expression in Hebrew to describe perpetuity and eternality" (Understanding the Arab-Israeli Conflict, 141-142).  There are at least five ways that Scripture conveys the eternality of God through this phrase, and through the phrase's meaning:

The Eternal Blessedness of God:
Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting (1 Chronicles 16:36).
The Eternal Lovingkindness of God:
But the lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children's children (Psalm 103:17).
The Eternal Existence of God:
Before the mountains were born or You gave birth to the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God (Psalm 90:2).
The Eternal Kingdom of God:
But the saints of the Highest One will receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom forever, for all ages to come (Daniel 7:18).
The Eternal Son of God:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1)
